Family Fun...

I am so excited to kick off the Summer season with a family fun day of fishing! I chose June 10th for the event from 10 AM to 3 PM at AuGres Riverside Park located at 203 Waters St. "Why AuGres, you ask?"

Because this location is in our service area. Our service is from north, just below Alpena, south to Sterling and west halfway into Hale. I try to choose different venues within our service area for each of our events. You can identify Riverside Park by the pirate ship visible from US 23. The park offers short piers for children and adults to fish from (bring a life vest for your child if you have one), public restrooms. play equipment, a splash pad (bring an extra set of dry clothes!), and a covered picnic area. The center will be providing lunch for all participants; grilled hot dogs, side dishes, beverages and dessert served at 1 PM.

And drumroll, please! The first 30 youth registered will receive a free fishing pole! To register call the center at 989.305.6308. The entire family is welcome. June 10th falls on the State of Michigan free fishing weekend so, no fishing licenses are required. The center will also supply the worms!
