Summertime Daze!

Summer is in full swing! In June we enjoyed a Family Fishing Day! The first thirty youths who signed up received a fishing pole with fishing instructions and bait! . The staff and I provided lunch and snacks throughout the day. It was wonderful to see families enjoy the day together! The Family Fishing Day was part of our Birth of a Family Charter. Birth of a Family is a wonderful program that builds healthy families. Our participants range in age from the middle 20's up to middle 80's. Weekly sessions break for the Summer and resume in the Fall. Call the Center for more info.

What would Summer vacation be without grilled Koegel Hot Dogs? Pick up a "dog", chips and a bottled water at Neiman's in Tawas City, this Saturday, June 8th from 10 am-3 pm for a donation only. Please introduce yourself to me! I am excited to share the free services provided at the Center.

Mark your calendar for July 29th for our annual Quarter Auction! Doors will open at Fr. Rushman Hall (the Knights of Columbus Hall at 12:30 pm) 821 Newman St., East Tawas. I'll make sure the AC is at a comfortable level of cool. Admission is $2 which includes one bidding stick per person. Many items will be up for bid at one to two quarters, a few will be at three and four quarters. Bring your quarter rolls to experience a fun event! Beverages: coffee and tea will be provided. Desserts will be available for purchase. A 50/50 raffle will also take place. Grab your family and friends for a fun time! Looking forward to meeting you all!

Blessings, Mary
